Riga International Film Festival welcomes its viewers to enjoy the awards ceremony, RIGA IFF AWARDS, in person.<\/p>\n
Referring to the festival’s slogan “SEE. SHIFT. BECOME.”, the evening will encourage a celebration of change that comes from cinematic experience. The band Alejas will be making an appearance, the evening will be hosted by actor Toms Harjo, and the ceremony will be directed by actor and director Gerds Lapo\u0161ka.<\/p>\n
After countless big screen adventures, the festival culminates by bringing together the filmmakers of the nominated films, as well as the local and international juries \u2013 with a total of 78 works competing for the festival awards this year in seven categories.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The ceremony will take place at the home of RIGA IFF \u2013 the Splendid Palace cinema \u2013 on 25 October, the second-to-last day of the festival. The ceremony will start at 20:30 (doors from 20:00), and tickets can be purchased online at rigaiff.lv and at Bi\u013ce\u0161u serviss box offices.<\/p>\n
