The short film programme SHORT RIGA will see its opening on October 22 with a celebration of six national premieres of Latvian productions, among which there will be works by the recognised authors Lizete Up\u012bte, \u017danete Skarule and Nils Skap\u0101ns, as well as three student shorts. The special screening will host Q&A sessions with the filmmakers.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn this evening six works of different genre, temper and message will see their premieres, all united by the fact that these are all auteur<\/i> works\u201d Anna Za\u010da, curator of SHORT RIGA<\/i><\/a> emphasises.<\/p>\n Lizete Up\u012bte will participate with a Latvian-French co-production Riga\u2019s Lilac<\/i><\/a>, whereas \u017danete Skarule \u2013 with a poetry film Fable<\/i><\/a> (developed as a part of the project Motionpoems<\/i>), in which the main heroine is portrayed by the charming actress Emma Bobrova Louri\u00e9. The result of an unprecedented creative collaboration will be seen in the VFS Films<\/i> produced puppet animation short All My Friends Are Dead<\/i><\/a>.
