<\/p>\n
Mini-series follow the life of a family of city intellectuals during the course of one summer in the 1920s, who are unexpectedly given a remote manor-house with all its unusual inhabitants and have to decide what to do with the dilapidated property. Exciting and comic events unfold over eight episodes as the budding writer An\u0161lavs Egl\u012btis, together with his brother Vidvuds, father Viktors and father\u2019s wife Hilda, begin the restoration of the manor, while at the same time decide to open a boarding house. Boarding house at the manor ultimately becomes the crossroads of the neighborhood, a ghost of the past, and a meeting point and summer stage of the locals and the visiting city intellectuals.<\/p>\n
