The Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF) Film Club is an educational project that will be available online free of charge to every schoolchild in Latvia. The aim is for children to be able to explore and understand the basics of filmmaking and identify the components that make up a variety of audiovisual material, including TikTik or Instagram videos, through a series of 10 video lessons, practical exercises, and a selection of Norwegian films.
This screening is open to everyone who is interested in the project. After watching the first three series of Film Club video activities for free, audiences will be able to meet the project’s creators as well as Latvian film professionals to find out how to better navigate the Film Club’s content and put this knowledge to use.
The Film Club has been developed in collaboration with the Norwegian Federation of Film Societies (NFK) and with the involvement of leading Latvian film professionals to give an insight into what different film professionals do and how they work, for example, directors, artists, or cinematographers.
