A gentle 1960s-set family film blends fantasy with reality when six-year-old Eydis and her brother Kari are suddenly coaxed in a bus by their mother and told to be brave. They find themselves dumped at an isolated children’s residential home on the windswept fringes of Iceland. This debut feature from writer/director Gudrún Ragnarsdóttir had its international premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia, where it was well received. Since then the film has received positive reviews from local media outlets and Screen International. It also won the INIS Award at Montreal International Children's Film Festival in Canada and the Children and Youth Award at the Icelandic Edda Awards.
