In an abandoned warehouse, young people dance to the fast pulses and beats of techno. Among them is transgender Dustin and his gang Felix, Raya and Juan. As the night rhythms pick up speed, collective hysteria turns into treacly melancholy, and euphoria is replaced by a longing for tenderness.
This love letter to the queer community, “written” in cinematic form by French director Naïla Guiguet, is cathartic in its energy. Guiguet has been a DJ for several years and organises LGBTQI+ raves and techno events; the short film Dustin was shot at one of these parties.
