Ramiro has been diagnosed with autism. He loves order, his music, his sheets, the rhythm of the day, and the colour of his room. His mother, Aurora, who has cared for him for years, will not reveal the reason why she has decided to move her son to her best friend Elsa’s house. Ramiro’s life as he knows it is destined to fall apart.
A melodramatic anthem illuminated by a caressing, selfless light. Director Iván Löwenberg’s narrative short film explores the tropes of the genre while never shying away from the question of the importance of social care to the quality of a person’s life. The roles are played by Teresa Sánchez, winner of the Best Actress Award at the Sundance Film Festival, and Alejandro Reyes Jaime, who has lived with autistic spectrum disorder since he was a child. Löwenberg is an award-winning director of both short and feature films, his work has been well received in Mexico and at major festivals such as Rotterdam, Cairo and elsewhere.
