A lonely woman, Zofia, lives in a radioactive zone. She tries to gather her courage to search for some company out there.
Static noise coming from the radio. Strange life forms kept in jars. The hazmat suit which acts as a second skin when Zofia needs to enter the zone. In that desolate landscape in black and white, something persists: not necessarily hope, but a basic will to live. “Radioactivity, tune in to the melody”, sang the band Kraftwerk. The inner music of Shedding of the Skin is an elegy to the possibility of rebirth in the direst circumstances.
