The Vilnius Palace of Marriage becomes the starting point of the life journey of a young girl (Ukrainian dancer Mariia Yakobchuk). The modernist building, designed by architect Gediminas Baravykas, with its Burgundy red accents in the interior and grey concrete mezzanines, forms a monumental oasis for bodily reflection. Dancing her line, waiting for her turn, passing through an initiation – the cipher of Ukrainian director Gornostai (Stop-Zemlia (2021), screened at RIGA IFF) is left for each viewer to interpret.
