Do you agree that everyone should have equal rights in education, health care, and the opportunity to get a job and social guarantees? But what about the right to experience culture? Where on this list of priorities is culture for people with visual or hearing impairments?
The Latvian Academy of Culture has been involved in the international ERASMUS+ project “Audio Description Against Exclusion”, where four workshops were created together with four partner countries (Poland, Lithuania, Cyprus, Romania). It was an opportunity for cultural professionals to improve their knowledge on how to adapt works in visual arts, audiovisual arts, and performing arts to different senses and perceptions.
During the conference, participants will share their stories, thoughts, and ideas on the topic – how to make cultural events in Latvia more inclusive for everyone?
