Among the participants of the panel: Rasa Šmite, co-founder of RIXC gallery, one of the main venues to host new media art exhibitions and residencies in Latvia; Eva Ilze Jankovska, producer of the brand new Helsinki based Embrace – XR Art Event that holds insightful discussions and a hackathon or a Hack Art On –aimed at bringing together art and creative industries; Jeanne Marchalot, who works at the acclaimed storyLab of France Télévisions; where she acts as XR commissioner and consultant of the XR programme. The discussion will be moderated by Eva Brazdžionyte (GLUK Media, Lithuania)
Rasa Smite is an artist and researcher working in the intersection of art, science and immersive media. She is co-founder of RIXC Art and Science Center in Riga (Latvia). She holds PhD, and currently is a professor in Liepaja University, and a visiting lecturer at MIT, Boston. In her artistic practice, Rasa works together with Raitis Smits creating awarded and widely exhibited artworks (http://smitesmits.com)
Eva Ilze Jankovska is a producer with 7-year experience in work with visual art and music event production. She has a BA in Culture management, MA in Arts and in 2021 became a doctoral candidate in Aalto University, Finland. For the last 3 years she has been working with XR art, being a part of the Embrace – XR Art Event production team as her latest project.
Jeanne Marchalot has over 23 years experiences in production and post-production, mostly on TV Series and Dramas, in Paris, France. She also has studied TV series, drama and feature narrative language, created professional trainings on TV series writing and showrunning, and taught the economy of digital and mass media at the University Paris-Est.
She joined France Télévisions in 2018 to create the VFX and postproduction studio of the soap “Chronicles of the sun”. Since the 1st of July 2020, she is in charge of storytelling research related to new XR technologies at France Télévisions Innovation & Prospective department. Francetv StoryLab is coproducing documentaries and fictions in AR, VR for mobiles devices and Quest.

Eva does consulting on creative content development and public financing strategies within the context of audio-visual industry. Eva’s interests are films, art, culture, games, innovation, women empowerment & XR. Currently Eva work with interactive content production company GLUK MEDIA. Together with her colleagues Eva cofounded and develop a network of Women in Film & Television Lithuania (WIFT LT). Also Eva is a coach and belongs to the International Coaching Community.
