A young rock’n’roll fan is sent to a mental asylum for political reasons, where he starts illegal production of jeans with his inmates. They flood the black market while the KGB tries to discover the people behind the business.

Stanislavs is a Latvian screenwriter, director and producer. He made his directorial debut in 2012 with his first film “Shoe”. His short drama “A Little Longer” received the Latvian National Film Award “Lielais Kristaps” for best short. In 2015 he made a documentary “Mikhail Tal. From a Far”. His feature debut film “What Nobody Can See” came out in 2017 and his second feature film “Lovable” had its premiere at the Baltic Competition at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in 2022. Currently, Stanislavs is working on post-production of the TV series “Soviet Jeans” which will be released in December 2023.
Having a profound background in advertising and marketing, Elina has been a part of Tasse Film since 2019, working as a production supervisor, assistant producer, as well as post- production supervisor. Currently, she is managing a number of film projects of different genres in various stages of development. Elina has studied Film and Contemporary Audiovisual Media at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
