Arina, a violinist, performs in an orchestra where her boyfriend Denis is a conductor. Their relationship is codependent. During a music contest party, Arina is raped by a stranger. She hesitates to tell her partner about it. Simultaneously, she discovers that Denis is involved with a younger lover. One night, drunk Denis becomes extremely aggressive. She summons all her strength to run away from him. Unfortunately, the city is filled with alarm sounds, and explosions echo nearby.

Jury statement: An urgent, raw relationship drama with two richly delineated main characters. The project promises a new strong female voice in contemporary European cinema, being the debut feature made by a young but prominent Ukrainian filmmaker.
In 2015, Director and Producer Valeria Sochyvets founded the organization CUC (Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema) with the goal of opening new talents. Member of the European Film Academy. Member of the Ukrainian Film Academy. Member of the Ukrainian Guild of Directors. Alumnus of Berlinale Talents and Sarajevo Talents 2023. Member of Film Bridge Ukraine program in Wajda Film School 2023- 2024. She holds a BA from Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and TV.
