Architecture can’t be always described and captured through photography, therefore cinema serves as a tool to bring out the drama of architecture and architect ever more often. There is a growing interest of viewers, directors and producers towards films about architecture and personalities of architects. New thematic festivals thrive, film days are organized and special film programs are created.
RIGA IFF offers its views on architecture and cinema in a selection that will be presented at one of the most remarkable new buildings in Riga – the National Library of Latvia.
