RIGA IFF 2020. gada notikumi pulcēja virkni kino nozares profesionāļu, ekspertu un entuziastu – gan klātienē, gan tiešsaistē. Sākot no šodienas, spilgtāko publisko diskusiju, lekciju un interviju ieraksti apkopoti festivāla mājaslapas atskata sadaļā.

Savukārt nākamā gada rudenī festivāls atkal aicinās uz plašu, kino mīļotājiem un nozares pārstāvjiem veltītu programmu no 14. līdz 24. oktobrim.

Noslēdzot šo sezonu, kuras vadmotīvs bija spēja apzināt un pieņemt nezināmo, līdzās notikumu ierakstiem publicēts arī atskats uz festivāla 2020. gada norisi.

2020. gada video arhīvā, cita starpā, skatāmi:

• starptautisku atzinību guvušās filmas “Projām” režisora Ginta Zilbaloža meistarklase;
• iedvesmojošas paplašinātās realitātes profesionāļu lekcijas RIGA IFF GOES XR ietvaros;
• ARCHITECT’S CUT vieskuratora Viestura Celmiņa saruna ar arhitektēm Sintiju Vaivadi un Evelīnu Ozolu;
• sadarbībā ar Latvijas Dabas fondu organizētā klimata pārmaiņām veltītā saruna pēc filmas “Aniara” seansa;
• intervijas ar kopumā 25 režisoriem, kas piedalījās SHORT RIGA programmā;
• ilgtspējīgu un klimatam draudzīgu kino norišu veidošanai veltīts lekciju cikls Green Charter For Film Festivals

Events at RIGA IFF 2020 brought together many film industry professionals, experts and cinema-goers – both in person and online. As of today, video recordings of the most engaging public discussions, lectures and interviews have been compiled into an archive that can be found on the festival website.

In the autumn of 2021, the festival will once again invite audiences to enjoy an extensive program dedicated to both cinema lovers and industry professionals from 14 to 24 October.

To round off a season characterised by the ability to identify and accept the unknown, an overview of the 2020 festival has also been published alongside video recordings of the festival’s events.

In the 2020 video archive you can, amongst others, view the following:

• A masterclass by Director Gints Zilbalodis, director of the internationally acclaimed feature film “Away”;
• Inspirational lectures by international augmented reality professionals, which were a part of RIGA IFF GOES XR;
• ARCHITECT’S CUT Guest Curator Viesturs Celmiņš’ discussion with Architects Sintija Vaivadis and Evelīna Ozola;
• A discussion on climate change organised in cooperation with the Latvian Fund for Nature that took place after the screening of the film “Aniara”;
• Interviews with a total of 25 directors who participated in the SHORT RIGA program;
• Green Charter For Film Festivals – a lecture series about sustainable filmmaking and organising environmentally friendly cinema events.
