These terms determine the procedures and conditions for the purchase, application, receipt and use of accreditations and subscriptions sold, granted and issued by the Riga International Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as “the Festival”). These terms apply to the following types of accreditations and subscriptions for the 2024 festival:
By purchasing, applying for or receiving any of the above-mentioned accreditations, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
Terminology used in these Terms of Use:
Irrespective of the type of accreditation granted, purchased or received, the following terms shall apply, insofar as these terms do not specify a different procedure:
Accreditation cards can be collected from 17.10.2024. at the Festival’s information centre during working hours.
The Festival Pass is a paid accreditation that can be purchased on the Festival’s website (www.rigaiff.lv) or at Biļešu serviss points of sale. This accreditation may be granted free of charge by the Festival at its discretion.
After purchasing the Festival Pass, the holder of the accreditation must authorize the purchase via Eventival (https://vp.eventival.com/rigaiff/2024), and:
The following special terms shall apply to the Festival Pass accreditation:
The Festival & Forum Pass is a paid accreditation type for industry representatives. It allows the holder to attend public film screenings (except the festival’s opening night and closing ceremony) and industry events. The holder can apply for the pass via Eventival. This accreditation may be granted free of charge by the Festival at its discretion.
An industry representative can apply for accreditation until 14.10.2024. by logging into their Eventival user account (https://vp.eventival.com/rigaiff/2024), and:
After applying for accreditation, the Festival shall examine each application individually within five days, assessing the accreditation holder’s compliance with the status of an industry representative. If the status is granted, the Festival shall send the accreditation holder the necessary information to make the accreditation payment. The accreditation holder must then make this payment within three days. If the accreditation payment isn’t made within the specified term, the accreditation application is considered void.
If an accreditation application is rejected, the Festival shall notify the applicant of its decision. The Festival has the right to reject accreditation without the need to justify its decision.
Forum Pass is a paid accreditation type for industry representatives to attend only the industry events and can be applied for via Eventival. This accreditation may be granted free of charge by the Festival at its discretion.
An industry representative can apply for the Forum Pass accreditation until 23.10.2024. by logging into their Eventival user account (https://vp.eventival.com/rigaiff/2024), and:
After applying for accreditation, the Festival reviews each application individually within five days, assessing the applicant’s compliance with the status of an industry representative. If the status is granted, the Festival sends the applicant information about the accreditation payment. The applicant must make this payment within three days. If the payment is not made within the specified period, the accreditation application is considered void.
If an accreditation application is rejected, the Festival notifies the applicant of its decision. The Festival has the right to reject accreditation without the need to justify its decision.
The Media Pass is a free accreditation type intended only for media representatives.
Media representatives can apply for the Media Pass accreditation until 01.10.2024. on the Festival’s website (rigaiff.lv), by filling out the application form. The Festival shall decide whether to grant or refuse the accreditation by 07.10.2024. The Festival has the right to reject accreditation without the need to justify its decision.
Upon receipt of accreditation confirmation, approved Media Pass holders must register via Eventival by following the instructions provided in the confirmation email.
Within the context of these terms industry representatives shall mean, inter alia, the following categories of film industry professionals:
The Festival reserves the right to evaluate each application individually and determine whether a person may receive industry representative status.
If the Festival detects a violation of these terms, venue rules, or general norms of public conduct, it reserves the right to confiscate the accreditation card and may choose to either warn the accreditation holder or cancel their accreditation altogether.
The Festival shall notify the holder of the accreditation card of its decision to either warn the holder or cancel the accreditation via the e-mail address specified on Eventival.
If a paid accreditation holder violates these terms, the accreditation holder loses the right to receive a refund for the purchased accreditation.
These terms are drawn up in Latvian and English. In the event of any contradiction between the original and the translation, the Latvian version shall prevail.
The Festival reserves the right to change these terms without separately notifying the accreditation holders. The current version of these terms is available on the Festival’s website (www.rigaiff.lv) and on Eventival.
The Festival shall inform holders of paid accreditations, or persons who have purchased accreditations via the ticket service Biļešu serviss, of any changes affecting the specific purchased paid accreditations and the privileges they grant, via the email addresses provided by these individuals. If changes to these terms reduce the privileges of an accreditation, the person who purchased the specific accreditation has the right to apply for a full refund. A refund request must be submitted within 14 calendar days from the day the person receives notification of the changes to these terms.
