A reflection on the human condition in a non-human environment – howls, barks and desolate glances on the outskirts of the Pan American Highway, where most of its inhabitants are stray dogs that wander through grey and melancholic streets.
The poetic observations of Guatemalan filmmaker Josué García Prado are enchanting, but the desolate and seemingly abandoned environment leads the viewer to think about the lives of the film’s protagonists. In the background, a girl’s stories carry our thoughts towards wondering if perhaps the stray dogs are happy.
