Nine-year-old Vega and five-year-old Billie go hiking with their dad. Suddenly, he has an accident and breaks his leg. The phone, which was the only tool that would have been able to show them the way out of the forest, or help them get in touch with their rescuers, also breaks. Now, the sisters need to work together and rely on their imaginations when they get lost, when they’re afraid or hungry, but most importantly when looking for help. Hope comes from the power of their imagination and from the magic of the nature around them – Billie is convinced that these are their new superpowers!
Arild Østin Ommundsen and Silje Salomonsen are a Norwegian filmmaking duo who wanted to create a film that stood out against the synthetic superhero franchises that dominate cinemas. According to them, selflessness and the ability to get along are what make impossible feats possible. Having played at several children’s and youth film festivals where it received many awards, this family film will awaken each viewer’s faith in the power of the imagination.
