The protagonist is a human, or silhouette. At least she feels like that, having lost the key to her life. Seeing the emptiness and meaninglessness of her existence, she decides to try on other people’s experiences. She is ready to search for the one and only key, but she has as yet no idea of the revelation she will come to experience.
A therapeutic short that is in step with the pandemic and comes at a time of heightened mental health issues, even though work on it began months before the lock down. In this five-minute long film, animation director and visual artist Indra Sproģe has created a contemporary version of Dante’s Inferno, in which all keys are useless. When all locks and keys have been re-examined, this visually vibrant film will offer hope. The short screened in the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival.
