Barcelona-born Javier Calvo de Cabrera has forged a path in experimental filmmaking: his reference point in his latest works – both in this short film in the RIGA IFF Short Film International Competition and his recent film The Scaffold (2023) – is a protagonist who sleeps and drifts off to sleep.
