Project pitching session is the central event of the RIGA IFF Showcase programme. It will take place on the 21 October in cinema Splendid Palace (Elizabetes 61). This event encompasses Pan-Baltic as well as Ukrainian film and series’ projects.

He is a special screenings coordinator and distribution consultant in the oldest cinema of Estonia “Kino Sõprus” and its boutique arthouse distribution branch “Must Käsi”. A film journalist and film historian who feels a special fondness for film education and film heritage.
She is an international film professional based in Berlin. Lediona’s previous experiences include Content Acquisitions, Film Distribution and Entertainment Law, but currently she is handling Festivals, Sales & Acquisitions at TVCO Srl.
Maximilian Zeitter is a representative of Picture Tree International (PTI) – an energetic and fast-growing world sales company with its headquarters in Berlin. Its core business is worldwide licensing across all platforms with the company maintaining a presence in all the major film and television markets.
He is a producer/writer/director, and founder of Bad Behavior, a Portuguese production company specializing in genre. Paulo is a huge horror fan and he is always available to help other filmmakers in developing their projects.
She has worked as a sales agent for over 10 years now, having built a specialization lineup consisting mostly of genre films: horror, thriller/action/crime, war dramas, and children/family films.
She is an acquisition manager at Latvian Public Television (LTV). She selects films for the main documentary and feature film slots of LTV1 and LTV7. LTV is a state-owned public service television. The company is funded by a grant-in-aid from the Latvian government (around 60%), with the remainder coming from television commercials.
She is a festival manager and is responsible for sales in Latin America and the Baltic states at New Europe Film Sales, a boutique sales company based in Poland. NEFS’ focuses both on short and feature films, representing films like Corpus Christi (2019), Lamb (2021), Beautiful Beings (2022), and Godland (2022).
Founder of the Synchro Film, Video & Audio, which became Austrian largest post-production house. From 1995 to 2005, he was the head of development of Cine Cartoon Film production. Sasha Wieser was one of the founders of the Eastwest Film distribution company in 2004.

Malgorzata has been a part of Globalscreen since September 2022 as Vice President of Sales and Acquisition for Eastern Europe, Spain and Portugal.
Since 2010 her work has been dedicated to distribution and sales in Chile for companies such as BF Distribution, Cine UDD, and La Distribución. In 2022, Natalia joined MPM Premium as Head of Festivals to be a nexus between worldwide producers and the international industry.
Xavier has previously worked in various festivals including Sundance London, Raindance Film Festival, Sheffield Doc/Fest and the East End Film Festival. He is the founder of Film Republic, a London-based film sales agency specializing in world cinema and feature documentaries.
After working in a distribution company in Tokyo, Keiko moved to France and acquired global experiences about world sales working at French sales companies. In 2011, together with Virginie Devesa, she co-founded a high-conceptual world sales company Alpha Violet in Paris.
He has been visiting the largest film markets since 2001. He is working for the international sales company Bvip and has been following the film industry transformation for the last 20 years, including the crisis of Covid-19 pandemic and the war against Ukraine.
Zane is the Head of Acquisitions at Latvian Television (LTV) – she is in charge of selecting all genre TV series and kid’s programming for LTV channels and online platforms.
He is a policy adviser for a series in Eurimages – the cultural support fund of the Council of Europe. Established in 1989, it currently numbers 38 of the 46 member states of the Strasbourg-based Organization, plus Canada as Associate member.
Daniella Shreir is British and is the founder and co-editor of Another Gaze, “a publication on cinema and feminisms”, as well as the creator of Another Screen, an international streaming service promoting female directors’ selections. For the past two years, she has been leading an intensive critic workshop around London’s Open City Film Festival. She has translated Chantal Akerman’s Ma mère rit (My Mother Laughs) into English and will soon publish a collection of Marguerite Duras texts. She is a member of the new selection committee of the Directors’ Fortnight.
Fortissimo specializes in international sales as well as the management of international talents in China. Recent titles include Anima by Cao Jinling, Sexual Drive by Yoshida Kota, Missing by Shinzo Katayama, Inu-Oh by Masaaki Yuasa and We Might As Well Be Dead by Natalia Sinelnikova.
Maie began her journey into the depths of the film world in Baltic Film and Media School. Her first feature debut The Days That Confused governed international success receiving Jury Special Prize in Karlovy Vary and domestic success grabbing six national awards including The Best Film. Her next feature The Man Who Looks Like Me premiered in Karlovy Vary. After that she produced Phantom Owl Forest which has been the most watched whole-family Estonian film. Right now Maie is finishing creative documentary Walker on Water which is a film about being a woman, told through the life and work of Estonia’s most beloved and internationally most known contemporary poetess Kristiina Ehin.
Kateryna Shevchenko is a producer from Kyiv belonging to the new Ukrainian generation of independent film makers. Originally trained as a lawyer, Kateryna has been involved in tens of productions since 2014 when she founded her company Kinovyr. Now based in Madrid, she is the founder of the Ukrainian Film Week, an ambitious film festival in collaboration with Filmoteca Española and the prestigious Circulo de Bellas Artes.
Armin is active in the streaming market for more than five years at Rushlake Media, a Cologne / Nairobi based Multi Platform Network and Sales Agency. After bringing Arthouse films to all mayor and many smaller VOD Platforms, he now specialises in planning and managing streaming solutions based on Rushlake Media’s own proprietary streaming technology.
