Forbidden Choice is a realistic Latvian crime drama about two punk rock youths nourishing their individual freedom, committing minor crimes and contemplating the morals of their actions. This film is an attempt to highlight the relationship between two young people in a world they’ve built – living in a self-made cottage, disobeying societal norms etc.
Anete is currently doing a Bachelor’s course in Audiovisual Arts at the Latvian Academy of Culture and throughout her studies she has created several short films, including a two-part fiction film “Between doors” and two documentary shorts “Notes from the Courtyard” and “Quiet Antiquity”.
