Jon Vatne is a producer-director who earned a Master’s degree in documentary directing at the TV School in Lillehammer, Norway and at The New School University in New York. First Vatne solely focused on directing documentaries, resulting in the award-winning short documentaries Polyfonatura (2019), Mågaluf (2018), The Psychonaut (2015) and Personal Velocity (2010). Lately he has shifted more towards directing fiction films and producing. This has resulted in the fiction films Wolf (2020) and Headwind (2021). The latter was nominated for Grand Prix at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and won the Time Glas award at the Norwegian Short Film Festival. Vatne also produced the documentary Train Robbers (2019) which also was nominated for Grand Prix in Clermont-Ferrand, and has received several prizes at other festivals. At the moment Vatne is developing several fiction projects, both as producer and director, both short and longer formats.

Gudrun Austli is an Oscar nominated film producer and sheep farmer based in rural Snåsa, Norway. She is educated at The Norwegian Film School and won the student academy award with her exam film Tuba Atlantic, and was nominated for the Academy Award for the same film in 2012. She has been nominated for the Norwegian academy award “Amanda” with two of her short films: Dear Lisa and Prematur. Gudrun has worked with Jon Wolf and now Iris.

Odin Norum Kvistad is an editor from Trøndelag in Norway. He has previously collaborated with director Jon Vatne on Kampen, a documentary series for the Norwegian national broadcaster NRK, and Iris is their first short movie together. Odin has also edited two more short films, and worked as an additional editor on the feature film Let The River Flow. Odin has a bachelor’s degree in film editing from The Norwegian Film School.
