Christine (15) and Mick (8) spend the summer with their grandma, Felicita (60), in the countryside. Mick is excited, but Christine, who must read 10 books to be advanced to grade 10, is furious. Out of boredom, they befriend Joe (13), a local “woodland weirdo”, who takes them to an abandoned library where books are gateways to fantasy worlds. They must face the Exterminator, who plans to cleanse the fantasy world of “excess”.

Ilze is a producer and editor at Ausma Media with a focus on children’s content. She studied Documentary Film in Tallinn and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Science. After 10 years in Portugal, she has recently returned to Latvia.
