A mother is apprehensive about her son’s future away from home. Pedro travels with a group of four older and more experienced men in a van, driving through a storm. On the journey, they discuss the future and the work awaiting them at the end of the trip. Doing this trip for the first time, Pedro is somewhat indifferent to the work assigned to him. Instead, he dreams of the mountains.

Diogo Salgado holds a degree in film with a focus in cinematography from ESTC and is currently studying for a Master’s in Communication Sciences, specialising in Film and Television, at Nova FCSH. In 2020, he premiered his first film Noite Turva at the 28th Curtas Vila do Conde, winning Best Film in the National Competition. In 2021, the film had its international premiere in the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival, competing for the Palme d’Or for Best Short Film, and Berlin Revolution FF.
Isabel Machado is C.R.I.M.’s directing manager, main producer of films and artistic projects. Since 2005 she is responsible for the development, production and distribution of both documentary and fiction films, as well as of performative and visual arts projects. She holds a degree in Communication Design from the Lisbon University. She studied Visual Arts at Maumaus School of Photography and Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art at the Lisbon University and has been finalist at EAVE 2005 and EURODOC 2008 workshops. She was a lecturer at Portuguese Film School ESTC between 2014 and 2019. She has been a board member of APORDOC – Portuguese Documentary Association since 2016.
