What is a music video? This question that is puzzling us for the fifth year already, is, at the same time, a question to which we always find a new answer. Sometimes the music video has been like a playground for bold experiments, other times it has reached a new technological rise by redefining what is possible in this genre. This year, we’ll aim at combining both: experimental music videos and the latest in technology to get to know the space, where the image and music interact according to its unique laws.
However, some values remain unchanged: the Baltic Music Video Competition screening will welcome spectators, festival guests, filmmakers and musicians on the last Friday of RIGA IFF. The unusual venue and environment will turn the viewing experience into a special event.

Documentary film, feature film and music video director whose works repeatedly cover the theme of interaction between individual and collective consciousness. Her nuanced visual language is inspired by the aesthetics of music and choreography, and her work has been recognised at both domestic and international film forums.
Director and creative director; has studied directing and advertising. Directs commercials, music videos, experimental and not-as-experimental short films; once committed the sin of directing a documentary film. Has received various awards and nominations of both national and international scale.
