Every year close to one hundred volunteers join our team with an aim – to help deliver a pitch perfect RIGA IFF event and film programme. It’s an opportunity to gain experience and prove oneself – for students and those seeking a break from everyday responsibilities. Submissions are due September 10.
One’s voluntary involvement in the festival can be adjusted by selecting both the time-frame and the preferred shifts (as long as the occupation permits). Some work starts as early as September, but the majority of hands are needed during the festival – October 15 to 25. To ensure an enjoyable and safe experience we strictly adhere to all necessary provisions.
Those interested in volunteering are welcome to apply for duties at:
— information and accreditation centre
— screenings (audience coordination, requires Latvian)
— organising and technical duties at events
— and other areas requiring efficiency, a sharp mind, a strong back, and friendliness
RIGA IFF team is collectively engaged in furthering its mission: advocating the development of an intelligent, open and active society. Every RIGA IFF volunteer is given the opportunity to combine their duties with enjoying the programme.
Anyone over the age of 16 can become a volunteer at RIGA IFF. You should be ready to devote at least 25 hours of your time. After filling out the submission form candidates are selected in face-to-face interviews (many tasks will involve training). In case of any queries, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Attention! Volunteers, as a part of the RIGA IFF team, are required to attend the festival in person. To ensure safety as well as maximum capacity and duration of events, those involved in organising the festival ar required to hold a valid COVID-19 recovery or vaccination certificate.
