Miguel and his uncle Kechus want to make a vampire film. The process of making the short turns into a mirror of the bonds of their relationship, and fiction gradually becomes obscured by reality – and vice versa.
Born in San Sebastián, Marina Palacio’s practice spans a variety of disciplines but with an emphasis on film and photography. With its elegantly restrained framing of vampiric mise en scènes, this short documentary splendidly depicts the enthusiasm of amateur filmmakers as well as the friendship that can form between different generations.
