Agathe, aged 90, lives as a recluse in a snow-covered cabin, where the silence seems thicker than the walls. When Frede, her daughter, visits her to bring her to a nursing home, she finds a dead, disembowelled fox on the doorstep. Agathe’s disturbing behaviour is puzzling, gradually revealing something quite unexpected. Take our word for it when we say it’s unexpected.

An encounter with old age, surreal sighs, Quentin Dupieux jokes, and a Švankmajer-esque tragicomedy. The directing duo Hall and Matar work in stop motion animation, reflecting on how little we actually know about the people closest to us. The film was screened in the graduation film section of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and received a special jury mention at the Rennes Animation Festival.
