A tableau that reveals the Nordic mode of cinematic creation and storytelling – one that is very familiar to the people of the Baltics in terms of pace, vibrancy, mood, and, of course, humour. The North is much closer than we tend to think.

The selection of films has traditionally been developed in cooperation with the embassies and consulates of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, as well as with the Swedish Film Institute, the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia and the Danish Cultural Institute in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
