Magnetic Series

The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) is launching a new annual industry event in cooperation with RIGA IFF and TET – Magnetic Series, a pitching and networking event focused on the Baltic Sea Region and the Nordic countries.

The inaugural event will take place on 16 October 2020 and will include two panel discussions and conversations on how to produce and acquire independent non-English language drama series. Both panel discussions will be moderated by UK-based Editor of Deadline magazine, Tom Grater.

This will be the cornerstone to launch the annual Magnetic Series event, which will take off in earnest in 2021. It is intended that every year, participants and invited guests will be able to discover and learn about a selection of drama series projects that are looking for international co-production and financing partners in the Baltic Sea Region and the Nordic countries – Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Poland, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Greenland.

In close cooperation with TET, the conference will be streamed online and will be available here and on the RIGA IFF Facebook page.
