RIGA IFF SHOWCASE is a compact, efficient and easy-to-navigate market intended for those who work with creating, funding, or distributing feature length films or series. The market includes a pitching session for diverse feature film and series projects as well as a variety of networking events. RIGA IFF SHOWCASE gives participants an insight into works from the Baltics, Eastern and Central Europe, with the aim to boost co-productions within the region and present projects to buyers from Europe and North America. 

In 2026 the event will take place from 23 to 25 October.

The programme is supported by the National Film Centre of Latvia, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia / Mission Latvia and BBRental/BBposthouse.

Individual meeting sessions for RIGA IFF SHOWCASE participants and audience members, following the pitching session. SHOWCASE Audience members and participants will be able to sign up for one-to-one meetings online, filling in an online form.

Signing up for one-to-ones is open from 18 October until 23 October 16:00 (GMT +3). Individual schedules for each participant will be sent out in the evening of 23 October.

Please note:

• One meeting slot is 15 minutes long.
• Participation slots are limited and attendance will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, based on this registration.
• The amount of meetings per participant will depend on the total number of applicants, and we will do our best to accommodate the maximum number of participants. 

If you are a FORUM PASS, FESTIVAL & FORUM PASS holder who is not a RIGA IFF SHOWCASE participant or audience member, you can schedule meetings, by reaching out individually to other guests, using Eventival Who’s Here platform. Suggested time for meetings – 24 October until 13:00 (prior to one-to-ones with project representatives).

The selection committee of RIGA IFF SHOWCASE hand-picks 10 feature film and series projects to be pitched to an audience of international and local buyers, as well as a jury. Following the pitching session, one-to-one meetings take place, providing opportunities for in-depth discussions with potential partners, buyers, and festival representatives.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

• The project must be a feature film or a series.
• The project must be in development, pre-production, production, or post-production.
• The project must have existing or planned financing from at least one of the following countries: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Moldova, Bulgaria, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania, Georgia, or Ukraine.
• If a project is selected, filmmakers must confirm their availability to attend the full event in person in Riga and are responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation expenses.
• There is no submission or participation fee. 

AWARDS

A jury of Latvian and international professionals will select the project that will receive a cash prize of EUR 5,000 as well as services from BBposthouse / BBrental worth EUR 10,000.
