Edmunds Jansons (1972) is director, animator, illustrator, and founder of the animation film studio Atom Art. He studied tv directing at Academy of Culture of Latvia and animation directing at Estonian Academy of Art. His filmography notably includes animated documentary film Little Bird’s Diary (2007) which was awarded Best Baltic Animation award at IFF Arsenals and received Grand Prix at Tallinn Graphic Triennial, animated short Choir Tour (2012) which received numerous awards, among them Best Animation Award at 29th “interfilm” International SFF and Award for Sound and Music at LIAF London IAF, and animated short The Isle of Seals (2014), screened at Annecy 2016. His first feature film Jacob, Mimmi and the Talking Dogs has been selected at more than 85 festivals and received several awards at international festivals.
Edmunds teaches animation directing at Academy of Arts of Latvia and as guest tutor at animation film school La Poudriere, France.
Sabīne Andersone is the managing director of studio Atom Art and producer with almost 15 years of experience on different genres and formats of animated films – artistic animation shorts, pre-school series, and TV specials, as well as features. Her productions have been selected to festivals all over the world, such as Annecy, Ottawa, Hiroshima, Stuttgart, Zagreb, Clermont-Ferrand and others. She is Co-founder and member of Latvian Animation Association.
