After the National Performing Arts Awards ceremony, the actors’ bus is going back home: everyone’s been nominated, but no one actually won. The bus is ringing with thank you speeches, karaoke singing, and popping champagne bottles. At one point during the trip, the actors suddenly see their colleagues’ vehicle on the side of the road — there’s been an accident. Aldona calls the police, but soon realises that it has only caused more trouble.

Birute Kapustinskaite is a screenwriter, playwright and director. She has received the main National Award as the best playwright of the year, for the play Therapies. She holds the best screenplay award for a feature film Sasha Was Here from Aubagne Film Festival. Her debut short Mothers received special mention during Ismailia Film Festival in Egypt and is touring around festivals together with film agents Lights On. The Nominees is her second directed short film.
Producer Rūta Petronytė has been working in cinema field for more than ten years. Started her career as a producer’s assistant, worked in different positions of local and international cinema and TV productions, now she continues to work as a producer and line producer. Her first produced feature film Sasha was Here (dir. Ernestas Jankauskas) was premiered in Tallinn Black Nights Film festival. Since then Rūta finished her master in Politics and media and finally turned her career in working with young directors as the expanding Lithuanian film industry develops more young filmmakers and currently she is collaborating with four young Lithuanian female directors, and developing several short and feature films.
