The film I’ll knock, you talk! reflects on the life of the authors of the film while living in Norway for half a year. The director and cameraman document the landscapes of western Norway and the people they meet along the way, while the couple’s conversations during long car rides through the mountain landscapes bring up the making of the film and its impact on their relationship.

The director Līva Klepere is a student at the Latvian Academy of Culture, where she is currently working on her bachelor’s film. Previously, she has directed a few student short films, including The Westerns (2023) and Road (2023). She has also worked as a production assistant, namely on the film Dragoons (Reinis Ūbelis, 2024). I’ll Knock, You Talk! is her first documentary work which she made as part of her 2nd year studies at the Latvian Academy of Culture.
Editor Līna Brauna has just graduated from the audiovisual arts programme at the Latvian Academy of Culture. Previously, she has edited a number of student films, including this year’s national short film competition nominee North Pole (2024), For Now (2023) and others. Currently, she is working as an assistant editor on a feature film project. The documentary short film I’ll knock, you talk! is part of her bachelor’s thesis.
