RIGA IFF SHOWCASE is a compact, efficient and easy-to-navigate market intended for those who work with creating, funding, or distributing feature length films or series. The market includes a pitching session for diverse feature film and series projects as well as a variety of networking events. RIGA IFF SHOWCASE gives participants an insight into works from the Baltics, Eastern and Central Europe, with the aim to boost co-productions within the region and present projects to buyers from Europe and North America.

RIGA IFF SHOWCASE gives participants an insight into works from the Baltics as well as Eastern and Central Europe, with the aim to boost co-productions within the region and present projects to buyers from Europe and North America. Elīna Jēkabsone is the chief of TV3 Group Baltics content distribution business development office and the programme director of TV3 Group Latvia. She is a Latvian media industry expert with more than ten years of experience in content strategy, programming, talent development, and content business growth in the Baltic region. She specializes in content production and adaptation for multiple platforms. Drawing on her expertise in television and VOD platform demand, she shapes the Baltic content distribution landscape with the goal of uniting the best Baltic content and presenting it beyond the region.
Juris Kursietis is a Latvian film director and screenwriter known for his character-driven stories. His debut feature, Modris (2014), premiered in Toronto and San Sebastián, while his second film, Oleg (2019), was screened in the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight. He also directed the TV series Soviet Jeans (2024), which won the Audience Award at Series Mania, and the feature film The Exalted (2024), selected for the main competition at the Tallinn Black Nights Festival.
Marina Stepanska is a Ukrainian director, screenwriter, and producer. Her feature debut, Falling, received several international awards, as well as three Golden Dzyga awards from the Ukrainian Film Academy in 2017–2018. She has co-written feature films, the most recent being Forever-Forever, directed by Anna Buriachkova, which premiered at the 2023 Venice International Film Festival. Marina is currently working on a documentary feature titled It’s Not a Full Picture, which focuses on Ukrainian filmmakers since the start of the full-scale war.
Nadia Turincev is an experienced French producer and co-founder of Easy Riders Films. She has served on the selection committee of the Cannes Film Festival’s Directors’ Fortnight and has held various positions in European organizations such as ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Européen), Europa Cinemas, the European Producers Club, and the EU MEDIA Development Programme. Her production credits include Julia Ducournau’s Raw, Levan Akin’s Crossing, and Mantas Kvedaravičius’s Mariupolis and Mariupolis 2.
Roberts Vinovskis is a Latvian director, producer, and entrepreneur. He studied philosophy at the University of Latvia and began working in the film industry as a camera assistant at the age of 16. In 1995, he founded Studio Locomotive, followed by the film studio Vino Films in 2020. At both studios, he continues to work as a director and producer. Roberts has also founded and developed leading companies in the region for film equipment rental (BBrental), film post-production (BBposthouse), and film restoration (Locomotive Classics). He is a member of the European Film Academy.
Kristīne Simsone is the head of the RIGA IFF SHOWCASE co-production platform. She has been with the festival since its inception, working as a programmer and leading various educational initiatives. Kristīne is also an active film journalist and critic, contributing to major Latvian media outlets and demonstrating an in-depth understanding of film industry trends and developments. She has served on the animation and minority co-production experts’ panel at the National Film Centre of Latvia.
Audience members for the 2025 edition of RIGA IFF SHOWCASE will be announced in September.
One-to-one meetings will take place on 25 October from 13:30 to 15:30 at the Radisson Blu Elizabete hotel restaurant. This event is exclusive to RIGA IFF SHOWCASE participants and audience members.
RIGA IFF SHOWCASE Audience members and participants will be able to sign up for one-to-one meetings online, filling in an online form.

Selection committee of RIGA IFF SHOWCASE hand-picks 10 feature film and series projects that are pitched to an audience of international and local buyers as well as a jury. After the pitching session, one-to-one meetings take place, providing opportunity for in-depth discussions with potential partners, buyers and festival representatives.

A jury of Latvian and international professionals will determine the project, which will receive a cash prize of EUR 5,000 provided by media company TV3 and services from BBposthouse / BBrental worth EUR 10,000.
