With a master’s degree in economics and several years of a solid career in international business, Dzintars Dreibergs decided to follow his heart and become a filmmaker. He completed his film education at the Baltic Film and Media School in Tallinn, Estonia. Dreibergs made his feature directorial debut with Blizzard of Souls (2019) produced by Kultfilma – a domestic box office record holder in Latvia, shortlisted for best score at the Oscars, and distributed in 50+ countries.
Marta Romanova-Jēkabsone is a Latvian producer known for international collaborations on award-winning films like Ruch and Norie, Bille, and Soviet Milk. She is currently working on historical dramas Escape Net, Brothers’ War, and Our Erika, while developing new projects, including Things Washed Ashore. Marta is a recent alumna of ApostLab, the ACE Mentorship Programme EU, and the ZFF Academy.
Producer Inga Praņevska is one of the owners of film studio KULTFILMA and all KULTFILMA projects have been implemented with her hands-on participation. Her latest fiction feature, Blizzard of Souls (2019), is a domestic box office record holder in Latvia, distributed in 50+ countries, shortlisted for best score at the Oscars, and listed in the Variety top 25 prediction list for Best International Feature.
