Against the backdrop of Russia’s invasion, a contemporary artist Roman, who has issues with alcohol, tries to find understanding with his loved ones: his parents, wife, and lover. Caught up in a cycle of recurring events and circumstances, Roman turns to his past in order not to lose himself in the present.

Member of European and Ukrainian Film Academies. Philip was born in Kyiv, in a family of filmmakers. In 2016 graduated from KNUTCaT named by Karpenko-Karyy. In 2015 co-founded NGO «CUC» (Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema). In 2015, his film Son won many awards at film festivals. He continues to make several other successful short films. In 2023, his feature debut film La Palisiada received an award from the FIPRESCI jury at the Rotterdam IFF and it was in DISCOVERY nomination at EFA.
In 2015, Director and Producer Valeria Sochyvets founded the organization CUC (Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema) with the goal of opening new talents. Member of the European Film Academy. Member of the Ukrainian Film Academy. Member of the Ukrainian Guild of Directors. Alumnus of Berlinale Talents and Sarajevo Talents 2023. Member of Film Bridge Ukraine program in Wajda Film School 2023- 2024. She holds a BA from Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and TV.
Laurynas Bareiša graduated in applied mathematics and cinematography and earned an MA in film directing. He recently worked as a cinematographer on the feature films Summer Survivors (2018) and Slow (2023) by Marija Kavtaradzė. His first feature film, Pilgrims (2021), was awarded the prize for the best film in the Orizzonti Competition of the Venice Film Festival. The second film Drowning Dry (2024) won Best Director and Best Actor Ensemble awards in Locarno Film Festival’s main competition.
