In a country ruled by a military junta, Alia, whose child was taken from her, infiltrates a violent officer’s home to bomb a celebration for his newborn son. Working for the family, she unexpectedly grows close to his wife, Vera. At the celebration, Alia learns that her son may still be alive and abandons the attack to find him. But the resistance threatens her son and forces her back. When Vera and her baby are threatened, Alia chooses to save the woman and child she once saw as the enemy, despite believing she has lost her chance to free her own son from the regime’s orphanage.
