The line-up for the fifth edition of RIGA IFF SHOWCASE, co-production market of Riga International Film Festival (15–25 October) has been announced. This year 11 projects – 8 feature films and 3 series in various stages from the Baltics and Eastern as well as Central Europe – will take part, seeking new partnerships and competing for the main prize: a EUR 5,000 monetary award and production services from BBposthouse / BBrental worth EUR 10,000. For its fifth edition, RIGA IFF SHOWCASE, the market and co-production platform for feature films and series, brings together 11 projects from across the Baltics and Europe with strong potential to attract international partners and financing. The selection spans new works by established directors alongside ambitious ventures into new formats and forms of storytelling. Curated by Kristīne Simsone, it highlights the region’s distinctive creative voices while reflecting current industry developments and emerging artistic expressions:.

Projects included in the RIGA IFF SHOWCASE line-up will be evaluated by an international jury – Head of Programme Department at Latvian Public Service Media Jana Semjonova; Senior Programming Manager at MUBI Nadia Maria Oliva; Head of the Industry Programs at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) Hugo Rosák; producer, director, and programme curator Valeria Sochyvets and director, producer and founder of BBRental / BBPostHouse Roberts Vinovskis. The winning project will receive a monetary award of EUR 5,000 and production services from BBposthouse / BBrental worth EUR 10,000.

RIGA IFF SHOWCASE, the co-production and financing market of RIGA IFF FORUM, will take place from 22 to 24 October at Splendid Palace cinema and the Radisson Blu Elizabete Hotel. Participation in RIGA IFF SHOWCASE and other RIGA IFF FORUM events will be available with an industry accreditation FORUM Pass or Festival & FORUM Pass.
